I want to talk about my experience in the manufacture of leather wallets.
Manufacturing leather products in about a year. The first package of skin trimming for sample and study bought in August 2016. After that, everything started.

Immediately decided to make four wallets. Such "mass production" is associated with the desire to save time. If you perform all operations sequentially four times the time goes much more than doing each operation wholesale.
For the manufacture of wallets, two types of skin chose: Crazi Horse (red-brown) 1.4 mm thick and KRS skin with embossed "Cayman" with a thickness of 1.1 mm black. With embossed leather used and lining skin with a thickness of 0.5 mm. The threads used the waxed thickness of 0.8 and 1 mm.

Stitch. Shing all your products only with your hands and a saddle seam. Thread thick 0.8 mm. I use homemade shore pony - such wooden vice for retention of the product at sewing.

I cut corners on the ends.
Then I sponewash on the ends hardener of the riva, grinding the nail file at the wife. And so several times until complete satisfaction. Final times wearing a hardener cut with a special tassel (in the photo with a black handle)

One wallet from Crazy Horse decided to leave without cutting the riva. For a variety.
