You probably have repeatedly heard the popular mention of parents "Do not talk to strangers." But what to do in situations when a child is in real danger and needs help a stranger - for example, a policeman? Modern parents teach their children a simple rule that can protect them from abduction.

Jody Norton, Mom of four children, recently told in his blog, as one simple lesson saved her two sons. And here is her story from the first person.

Boys slipped away from the kidnappers, remembering the simple advice of their mother

Three days ago, when I was in the soul, I felt acute pain in the ovary. I miraculously had enough strength to dress and together with my four children to go to the local emergency department.

At that moment, when, because of pain, I practically did not understand anything, I left my older sons - a 10-year-old seater and 8-year-old Ti-dong - outside on a bench waiting for our neighbor, who good-naturedly offered to come for them and take them to school.

Only when my boys returned home at 15:30, I learned that they were very late to school. I mistakenly believed that a neighbor would go to them from his house, which was five minutes away, but in fact, my sons were waiting at the emergency room for 40 minutes. Their story about what happened during this time made me shudder from horror and at the same time madly be proud of them.

While they sat on the bench, the girl came to them in the company of two panks and asked, could they go to the restroom, where her guy was hiding from doctors, and convince him to go out and go for treatment.

Even after Sigi answered "no," they did not lag behind.

"Please, you can save him life, if you just go to the toilet and tell him that he is safe," the girl continued to dwell.

According to the sitting, only after three failures, the stranger surrendered and gone. When a neighbor finally arrived at my boys, they managed to see how the fourth stranger came out of the toilet and jumped into the car to the first three, after which they left.

While the sons told me this story, my eyes were increasingly rounded from amazement.

My anger and shock transformed into immense appreciation. Sigi also said that he remembered my advice, who helped them avoid abduction.

"Mom, I knew that they were bad people, because they asked us to help them. Adults do not ask for children about help. "

"Stop inspires to your children that they can not be accepted with strangers - writes the Safely Ever resource editor about the upbringing of Patty Fitzgerald. - Perhaps one day they will have to talk with an unfamiliar man. Better teach them to determine what strangers are dangerous. "

Patty also recommends asking children to remember one simple rule to which the sons of Jody have listened: adults who do not imagine threats will never ask children about help, they will turn to other adults.

The phrase "warned - it means armed", undoubtedly concerns our children. We will not always be able to be close to protect them from trouble, but we can put them on strength and train everything that they should do in such situations.

Jody reported this incident into the police, after which they took records from the hospital video surveillance cameras and started the case. This story once again reminds us how important it is to explain to your children, how to behave with strangers and calculate those who can represent a real threat among them. Once, these knowledge can save your children life!
