I want to share the history of the construction of a small sailing yacht in the garage.

The origin of the idea and the choice of the project fell at the beginning of 2015.
The 5-meter sailing yacht with a cabin for 4 people is what I am able without experience in construction and at the same time suitable for long marine walks.
In the spring of 2015, having studied all the necessary information - purchased Phaneur, boards and resin. The construction began.
For a couple of months, I made and installed a longitudinal and transverse kits (splintings and stringers) - a vessel frame for subsequent trim.
Closer to the end of the summer, engaged in the skeleton. Plywood and epoxy resin were used.
Having finished sowing the bottom and board the body was turned over to the "Smooth Kiel" position for further work.
Summer 2015 approached the end, time to do the manufacture of furniture and interior details for the cabin.
Prepared bed flooring, lockers, runes, shelves.
The cabin arrangement is the most interesting and creative process.
The nasal bed is most comfortable and can accommodate an adult child. Also two beds in the "coffins" on the sides.

The yacht in the meantime acquires the first outlines.
In the spring of 2016, the second construction season was opened. After a long-term preparation of the housing (grinding, putty), I started the most difficult, as it seemed at that time, the procedure was the cracking of the body of fiberglass, namely fiberglass on epoxy resin.
The process of pasting the bottom and sides lasted continuously for 20 hours, his father helped. 3 layers were laid. Fiberglass in this case acts as the protection of plywood from water, and not for strength, so it does not make sense to thicker.
Summer has come, the temperature allowed to go to the paintwork. For painting purchased the ship's two-component enamel of white, as the most practical at sea.
At this stage, finished work with the bottom of the yacht.
After receiving a visible result, I started working even more intense and for the remaining two year old months ended the trim, pasting and painting of the upper part of the boat.
At the same time, the keel-block on wheels was welded for convenient storage and movement of the yacht.

Thus, the housing of the yacht alone was collected in about a year and a half (it must be borne in mind that in winter the work was almost not conducted, as well as the fact that I am a student without any construction experience).
But to assemble the hull of the yacht is only 30-40% of all work, then it will be about equipping, the most costly and complex part in the technical plan.
Having finished the naked corps, the intensive preparation for the next summer season and the yacht tests on the water began.

In early July, I agreed about the parking of the yacht on the water, renting a trailer for transportation and called people to help. We plunged the yacht from the garage to the trailer and were lucky to the nearest reservoir for 70 km (this is the Obskoy Sea).
