Bags are my passion and profession that gives me a lot of pleasure.
Today I want to share with you the master class of this exciting process - creating a handbag made of genuine leather.
Today we will sew a simple model bag with one handle. To tailoring this model I took 11 working hours.
So, for work I will need: leather, pattern handbags, ruler, leather pencil, knife, glue, scissors, hole punch, hammer.
So, let's begin.
1. We put the pattern on the skin and carefully interwit it.
2. Carefully cut the details: two halves of the bag, handle. We prepare for the work of the Karabina, therapy, rings, zipper.
3. On the involving side, we plan a pencil from the seams of the seams on the details of the bag and the middle on the handle, where its halves will be folded.
4. A) We plan and cut the holes for chalks;
b) with special glue fixing zipper;
c) Apply the glue on the wrong side of the handle.
Note to work with glue: I use special glue to fix skin parts. The glue is applied on both glued parts, then you need to give glue to absorb the skin for 10 minutes, after which the items apply to each other and clutch the hammer. Glue fastens the details tight.
5. The half of the handles fold in the middle, where we outlined a pencil line, and tap the hammer to catch the details. We prepare the zipper - on the ring of lightning, it is secured by a strip of the skin and fix it with the help of glue (also catching up with a hammer).
6. From the wrong side, we also glue the molding, we climb the hammer.
7. Strip on the typewriter and zipper.
8. We apply glue to the details of the bag, wait 10 minutes, we apply the parts to each other and climb the hammer.
9. We sew the details on the typewriter.
10. Cooking the lining. By the same pattern, we plan and cut the details, plus two rectangles for pockets.
11. We are planning a plus line for lightning, cut out and sewing zipper, we put one of the rectangles from the wrong side, and we put it on and compare it with a typewriter, getting an inner pocket. I am intimidated by the second rectangle for the second outer pocket, gently converting the edge of 1 cm wide. We are climbing an external pocket to the second half of the lining. Compress the lining details, process the upper edge.
12. We sew the lining in the bag.
13. We establish the chammetes, kpripim on them rings. On the rings fasten the handle. The end of the lightning process: on a small rectangle of the skin and on the end of the lightning are applied glue, wait 10 minutes and fix this rectangle to the end of the zipper, we climb the hammer.
14. We use a beautiful handmade handbag with great pleasure.
