To work, we will need the following materials and tools:
1. Clay polymer - white, black and three shades of turquoise color.
2. Tools: - Rock or paste machine;
- blades or knife, and better both;
- modeling tools (stacks, sewn, needle);
- Glass or plastic (I use a small piece of glass approximately 10x15 cm).
3. Glass solllers.
The first step will be prepared for the operation of polymer clay, it must be carefully disposed. Black and white clay are needed for the eyes, but what color will your sumunations be - choose yourself. I have already made the soviek in the coffee tones, so for the master class decided to take another color - turquoise.
A large piece of clay, naturally, will be the main color and this clay we will have to close the entire surface of the salt. If you decorate two straws at once, then harnes it right on both strains, especially if the desired color is obtained as a result of mixing two or more colors. Otherwise, the straws can vary in color.
On the paste-machine or with the help of a roller, roll the clay into a rectangular layer with a thickness of about 2 mm of this size so that they can be wrapped with salt. Let you not be confused if the saltka has a corrugated surface as I have in my photo. In the final result of this ripping will not be visible.
Remove the cover, align the edge edges and turn the salt.
Since the vocabulary of the solonki has a curved shape, then the extra clay in the upper part must be removed. It can be smoked with a knife or simple manicure scissors, and to control the sections of the cuts.
The knife is cut off the surplus at the bottom of the salt plugs and threaded. After the surplus is removed, you need to take a good clay to the glass to remove air bubbles (to remove air bubbles, they need to pierce the needle and control the surface) that can be formed when working and smoothed corrugated facets. Put the lid and cut the clay under the cover.
As you see the surface of the solonki is smooth, without faces. We work on. We need to make two patterns or templates - oval under the eyes and wings. Dimensions determine themselves, based on the shape of the salt. And cut the parts from clay at once into two strains. Oval under the eyes is made of the bright clay and the thickness of its rolling 3-4 mm. After cutting the edge of oval a little increasing.
Hang your billet and attach it to the place where owls will be "face", and we must immediately note the middle of the oval
Do not attempt to press the top edge to the glass, the lid still says it.
Now it was the turn of the dark clay. Roll it thinner than oval about 3 mm and catter or by any prickly means (I have a cap from lipstick) cut out 4 circle with a diameter of about 1.7 cm.
We take two of them and apply to our oval, observing the symmetry of the "persons" of owls.
