Master class: imitation of wood thread in 1 hour

Anonim

The old oak locker for shoes in the hallway (photos before reworking is not survived), did not fit into the interior after repair.

I had to decorate it with a "thread" on a tree.

Application "Thread" took about an hour. The method I would call the volumetric stencil using decorative plaster.

Necessary materials:

plastic napkin (sold in stores for home); The thickness of the napkin is 1.5 mm.

Rubber medium spatula;

Structural paint of domestic production (decorative plaster);

Double-sided tape.

Acrylic paint.

We apply a drawing on the opposite side of the napkins and gently cut on the contour by a dump knife or small scissors.

It should be noted, and it is important that the pattern for the screen pattern has its own specifics, i.e. it must have jumpers. This is all so that when cutting out the drawing does not collapse into separate fragments.

My stencil looked like this:

Degrease the wooden surface, and slightly sand.

We attach a stencil to a wooden surface with a bilateral tape, and neat movements, a rubber spatula we apply plaster.

Without waiting for the collapse of the plaster, remove the stencil. At the same time, small tails can be formed from the mixture, which then (after drying) are easily removed when sandwicked.

After drying, sanding the surface to a certain smoothness, while not particularly trying. Some irregularities of the bas-relief is even desirable, since the best mimics the manual thread.

Then we clean the entire surface with a clean cloth.

T. K. Plaster white, paint it in the color of the tree, can be slightly lighter for a greater decorative effect.

Then I applied small dashes characteristic of oak.

At the end, you can cover with varnishes or wax with the subsequent polishing woolen cloth.
