Children grow, and it became closely in the hallway on a plungy stool shoes to wear. It reached the fight, who the first will sit down. And we decided to make a stool with your wife on two ass, the good place to supply it and from vacation did a bunch of all junk type of seashells, corpses of crabs and other handmakes of joy. Well, we decided to make a stool in the marine style.

Furniture shield from pine 300x600x16, Strap 10x16 and 5 metal legs were purchased. A stroke made a border around the perimeter, in order to form a deepening. PVA glued and fixed the furniture stapler. Painted acrylic paint from the canister. The joints from the inside sealed the thermoclaim, then it will be clear why.

The sea sand (also brought with you in the bank) mixed with white sand so that it turned out a bright shade, but in the end it turned out exactly what was planned, but even better. Less than a planker, the thickness turned out about 3 mm.

Artistic naval junk, glass, pebbles, magnet, coin, corpses of crabs (alive, did not suffer a single, crap with her son after a storm, survived only one skeleton with his son). The second crab is that in the upper right corner - there are only claws and the cover of the shell, slightly nipped the sand, as if he fell silent.

After layout, neatly flooded with the first layer of transparent epoxy. It is necessary to pour with a thin trickle, on the seashells so that the sand is not blocked. Well, the thermoclasts did not allow it to pour through the small gaps between the stroke and the shield. The resin was solid 2nd day, the acrylic paint was dissolved in places, which I did not expect to admit. The crab turned out to be in a white halo, that after it had to be corrected, sleeping sand from above.

The minor crab walked from the epoxy reaction with the heater of the shell, but on my surprise, then it was corrected and it became its normal color.

In the photo in the glass - the second spicy of the resin for the fill. Over all of her left about one and a half liters.

Grinding.

After the fill "to the edges", the resin was truding a little more than a day. Then the dirty stage went - grinding. At first, the Bulgarian rounded the ribs of the stroke, then the entire surface of the fill, the strokes are closed with pouring, the corners are smoothed, the reverse side of the shield was also smoothed.

Resin again dissolved acrylic paint from the stroke, but it turned out cool - like foam from waves fighting about the shore. When grinding it did not leave, and it became more pronounced.

Grinding the surface of the fill spent the skin of different graininess - first 60, then 120, 240 and 400th grain already adjusted to a silky state. Dirt was a lot :)

Final fill.

After a grinding, made the final fill with a thin layer for a gloss. On the floor of polyethylene, there is newspapers on it, then a plastic tray for the elevation of the shield and the shield itself on it. In terms of level, it was exhibited more or less smoothly and poured a resin in the middle, pre-degreased the surface with acetone. I smeared with a brush, heated with a hairdryer, so that bubbles go, the resin became completely liquid and spread into the mirror. The residues were impregnated by the shields and ends of the shield. Accumulated on the newspaper. If it were not polyethylene - for the eternal decor of the floor in the kitchen with old newspapers would be Pi # here from his wife :) Another curing day.

Ready product.

The height turned out to be slightly lower than the old stool, but it was also required. 5 feet screwed for consupporting the strength of the product - I sometimes sit on it myself, I was afraid that under my weight the shield will join and the fill can crack. But in fact, there was no need for this - the resin has tremendous strength, because Used for the manufacture of composites.

As a result, everything went about a week of time and about 4 thousand rubles, which are 200 rubles a furniture shield and strokes, 1250 rubles - 5 metal legs, and the rest - the rate of resin, which, by the way, was available.

It remains only stickers from the legs to tear off and cross the wallpaper :)

And children can now shift at the same time.
