To begin with, we will need two windows with a size of 50x50 cm. And 4 mm thick. If you bought glass without processing around the edge, then sharp edges and angles can be treated with ordinary emery paper. We also need an architectural mirror film to 15% of light transpassment, in my case there was a film of 8% of the light paint. One glass is covered with a film on one side as shown in the photo, it will be the front glass of the mirror:
The second glass is covered with a film on both sides, but on the one hand we retreat 1.3 cm. From the edge and cut off the film along the glass contour according to the line as in the photo, it will be the rear window of the mirror:
This indent will be useful for the attachment of the aluminum profile, but before that, the profile must be cut to equal 4 parts of 50 cm, I bought a 2-meter profile with dimensions 2x1.5 cm. Cut into 4 parts.
It is also necessary to treat sharp corners of the profile with a file.
Then we proceed (wipe) the edges of the glass and the profile White by Spirit and let him dry
Next, we need two-component glue for glass and metal
Lubricate it one stack of each profile as in the photo:
And we glue a profile to the rear glass of our mirror on a pre-liberated piece of glass from the film in such a way that the hollow part of the profile watched out in the photo:
Next, we make a hole for the passage of the LED tape:
I prepared in advance the LED tape with the controller, I will not stop in detail on this, as the post turned out too long, and you can buy a tape already ready with the controller and nothing to solder.
We insert and glue the tape along the inside of the frame of our mirror:
Next, we need a special bilateral tape for fastening mirrors and glasses, sold in a construction store:
glue it over the top of the profile and press the front glass:
I prefer to the ribbon because in the case of a malfunction of the diodes, it would be possible to bring the stationery knife between the top cover of the mirror and the profile, cut off the ribbon and eliminate all the faults, which cannot be done in the case of glue.
The mirror is almost ready, it remains to make fastening to the hay, it is done with fasteners for mirrors, also sold in a construction store. Sut off the film along the contour fasteners from the back wall of the mirror and process the glass White by Spirit
