Quite often, needlewomen experience difficulties in calculating and knitting the neckline in models of their own essay. This is especially true of products associated with complex pattern. I will share with you my many years of experience and offer 3 very simple and spectacular options for knitting decollete - Cutout "Boat", deep oval neckline and cutout "heart".

Let's start with the cutting "boat".

The depth of the cutout on the shelf is standard for all sizes and is 7 cm. On the back - 2-3 cm.

The width of the shoulder in this case should be no more than 7-8 cm, otherwise the neckline will not look beautifully.

To get a beautiful line "Boats", you need to do simple calculations:

From the total number of hinges of the neck to take 12 loops - for example, 50 - 12 = 38. Those., immediately need to close 38 loops (15 loops to the right and left from the center of your blouse).

Then perform the rounded edges of the "boat":

When knitting on the knitting needles, it is necessary to sequentially close the neck of 3, 2, 1 loop on both sides (only 12 loops - by 6 on each side), and then knit the remaining shoulder side up in a straight line;

When knitting, the machine uses the method of shortened rows, and the number of loops is the same - 3,2,1.

Deep oval decolte

The depth of this cutout is also standard for all sizes and is 20 cm. The shoulder width is 10-12 cm, depending on the size.

The principle of knitting is the same as in the previous case, i.e. The central part of the loops is closed and then 6 loops (3,2,1 loops) are sequentially closed on both sides. The difference is only in the height of the cutout.

Cutout "Heart"

I call this cutout form "heart", but this is the approximate name and the obvious heart shape you, of course, do not get. Yes, it is not necessary. And so beautiful and effectively. In fact, this is a variant of the V-shaped cut.

So, consider in more detail.

The width of the shoulder is 10-12 cm, the depth of the neckline is 20-22 cm.

Regardless of the number of loops of the neck and the depth of the cut, the height of the "oblique" part should be approximately 1/3 of the total value. The main thing is to conveniently close the loops.

In our example, it is necessary to close 20 hinges, i.e. 10 times to close 2 loops in each even row (or via a number). Next knit shoulder in a straight line.
