Another way to dispose of old jeans is: Hairing an office chair with your own hands.
It happens that the computer chair is still quite good in terms of the strength of the design, but its upholstery has lost its former freshness.
This office chair, covered with artificial leather, looked so that the owners thought to throw him out, but still decided to give him a second chance. Three pairs of unnecessary jeans also received the second life in this project. By the way, the covers (except for those on the armrests) are obtained by removable, they can be removed and wrapped.
Jeans here are chosen so that Denim has been about the same color and density. If desired, the project can be repeated, using non-pants, but a new tissue (the same denim or other enough tight suitable material).
You will need:
- Three pairs of sufficiently large jeans or fabric for covers;
- A piece of foam rubber size is about the seat of the chair;
- Running lightning for a back cover (a little bit of the backrest width of the chair);
- Durable cord;
- furniture stapler;
- tool to disassemble and collect armchair;
- scissors;
- Sewing machine and thread.
STEP 1
Disassemble the chair, removing the back and armrests.
Step 2.
Cap new armrest covers (carved triangles in the first picture - recesses for fastening). Bold armrests with cloth and attach the cloth with an inside with a furniture stapler.
Step 3.
To give the seat of greater softness, you can use a sheet of foam rubber. Cut the part from it, in shape and size corresponding to the seat seat. From the pair of jeans, cut the pants and cut the inner seams. If it is necessary, the panels are stirred into one more so that the resulting detail could be wrapped the seat and it would be 13-15 cm on each side. Rounded the corners, giving parts for a seat cover shape, similar to the seventive shape.
Step 4.
The edges of the seat for the seat throughout the perimeter are submitted and shooting, forming a stem. Leave the hole, through which to inhant the cord. Now the detail of the seat coverage can be put on the seat and tighten the cord.
Step 5.
Prepare a cloth for a backrest covered just as it was done for the seat. Cap details of the back cover: front, rear and two side.
Step 6.
Sew the cover for the back, downstairs open with the disconnected zipper.
Step 7.
Free the attachments by making holes using small scissors or a buggy knife.
It remains to collect the chair.
