Ray's relations with pumpkins began in childhood. The boy lived on the farm and early showed the talent of art carving in the tree and everything that came across to his arm. In 1991, Ray Villefen graduated from the New York School of Visual Arts, but the artist's career chose a school teacher, as he loved children and teaching.
However, his talent of the sculptor did not allow Ray unnoticed. Thanks to its amazing skill, cut incredible sculptures from pumpkin and wet sand Ray Villaffen more than once became the winner of various international festivals. And last year, Ray was invited to cut a pumpkin on the occasion of Halloween to the White House.
