How to "form" old kitchen

Anonim

Hello regulars and random site visitors. I decided to share the experience of changing the facade of the old kitchen. My kitchen is made of pine, was originally covered with some kind of water varnish. She is not so many years (12), but she looked, just say, not very (responded, etc.).

You can, of course, buy new furniture, but it will inevitably learn and repair in the very premises of the kitchen, and this is already quite aware of the costs that it was not included at this stage in my plans. So the choice is one, do it yourself. Girlfriend, for example, applied decoupage and one-step cracker with contrasting paints, it turned out great. I tried to make it similar on the armlessly, but this option did not come to my kitchen. As a result, I decided to toned the facades with a bright background and "aged", but somehow in a new way: a little decoupage and crackering, which should turn out in the end did not know. He removed all the doors, the handles, washed, degreased, slightly passed the shallow skin (without fanatism) and began to grind acrylic paint (before mixing the color you needed). In addition to the door, I decided to paint parts of the lockers under the doors and shelves.

how

As can be seen in the figure, one layer of paint did not give a high-quality coating, so each part was covered with 2 layers with a sponge before getting smooth.

Then I decided to somehow beat the relief parts on the doors and circled them as acrylic paint of the color of muffled gold "Sah but Ra ", this color is close to the main and does not contrast with it, but only makes accents.

how

After that, she chose motifs for decoupage to different lockers depending on their purpose, for example, tea-coffee theme, cutlery, wine bottles, pictures of old Italian street landscapes, etc. Printed the appropriate motifs on the varnish for decoupage.

Then it was necessary to solve the main task - to make up, for this I bought a two-step lacquer system for acrylic and oil paints, which was advised in a store store. At first, two doors spoiled, it was very difficult to remove the layers already) as this system was very capricious and time-consuming with unpredictable 100% results (no one would advise anyone), and in addition, the acrylic varnish acrylic varnish on the finished surface. But then I adapted, caught the features and it went: cracks wanted to get different: large with squeezed fatty smears, and small - respectively short and lungs. The cracks had to be highlighted, for this brown shadow for the eyelids.

The greatest problem is this crocheral lacquer to me, as I mentioned, at the stage of covering protective varnish. Of the ten different approached only the yacht (half-one), everything else "folded" or smeared the shadows into cracks. And another problem is a cornice, it was impossible to remove it, therefore it is difficult to "polish", therefore it has been primed and decorated with monochrome floral motifs with butterflies.

Unfortunately, the photo failed to fully pass the color and krakle - with a flash, stains are obtained, and there is not enough light without it (well, the photographer's skill, apparently). As a result, it turned out something like that.

The last drawing in color is perhaps the closest to the resulting one. In a live, of course, the kitchen looks better - it is also fresh, this is the result of work for a month, mostly at night after the main work, and besides, almost every layer applied to dry, and everything was 14 doors plus pull-out drawers, plus visible parts Holding cabinets, plus cornice. Yes, I forgot about the handles, they were entirely wooden, there was a thought of painting, but I thought that they would not fit in style, so I bought metal colors of muffled gold.

As a result, each detail had to be covered in the following algorithm:

1. Preliminary processing - clean and degreasing;

2. primer in 2 layers;

3. Stroke with gold volume parts.

4. Decoupage

5. 2 layers of crustaceous varnish

6. "Visualization" of the Effect of Krakle by Pulling Shadows

7. Coating 2 layers of yacht varnish.

8. Screw the handles and doors into place.

Perhaps experienced furniture decorators would find a simpler and more effective way of transfiguration of the kitchen, maybe some moments could be done differently, but I and my loved ones and the process, and I liked the result. Thank you for your attention, I will be pleased with the reviews.
