If you have beautiful bottles, with a spectacular design, then do not hurry to throw them away. There is a way to turn them into an interior decoration or even apply them as original dishes.
I'll tell you and show how I cut a bottle along.
Required tools:
- Diamond disk.
- Insulating tape.
- Engraver.
- Small grade sandpaper.
Cut the bottle along
Some bottles have a suture on the side.
Very convenient to do the incision for the seam. What would this seam be visible, along it glued a red isolate.
Diamond disk and place of cutting need to cool with cold water. Since I have no workshop, I had to do it in the kitchen. I turned on a thin jet of cold water, put a bottle for it and began to cut. If you have vise on the suction cup, you can install them on the bottom of the sink and fix the bottle in them.
Spray will be a lot! Take care of your kitchen and cover it with some film.
Cut gradually, did not concentrate in one place. I did it propyl along the tape.
The bottom and the neck are the most difficult places for cutting. In these places, the glass is significantly thickened.
Take care of patience and do not rush. When working with engraver, do not press much on the disk and do not turn on too much speed, otherwise the chips are obtained on the bottle. Turn off the engraver periodically and let him cool a little.
I went to 1 bottle about 30 minutes.
The edges of the bottle are sharp enough, you can easily cut down, so be careful!
Next took the grinder, I installed fine-grained sandpaper and moocked the sandpaper with water. A couple of minutes went to grinding.
The edges of the bottle have become smoother and safe.
Store the bottle is convenient. We fold 2 halves, tighten the cork and it becomes similar to the usual bottle. It was fun to look at the faces of friends when I divided the bottle in half))
Personally, I use such a bottle for snacks to foam or as a candlestick.
From glass bottles, you can make it easy to make various creative pieces for the interior addition of your home. Of course, the process of work is painstaking and time-consuming, but the result is worth it. You will receive original and unusual products.
