The other day I stumbled upon my last year's master class on the decoration of swimsuits, because The velvet season is still ahead, I hope my ideas will be useful to you!
First, a small background.
At the beginning of last year, I was invited to work as a designer for the transfer cycle about Hendmade (12 issues). The topic of one of the gears were decorations for swimsuits, and, as you understood, the story of them.
There were no swimsuits for almost a month. During this time, journalists who wrote the scenario, demanded several times with me ready.
This task was set: 1) 3 brooches - 1 for band and 2 for panties
2) Decorate the beads from the back of the rear.
All this is necessary in 2 copies, so that it can be shifted on the air, as the decorations transformed a boring swimsuit (i.e., 6 broks and 2 handhes of rejuvenated beads).
For 4 (!) Day before shooting, the courier brought long-awaited swimsuits.
When I saw them, I was ready to bite anything in any unhappy courier.
Let's decorate!
You will need:
- felt (or other tight material that does not run)
- Threads for embroidery beads
- Beads 2x colors
- beads 3x colors
- Beaded needle, scissors
(I use the customer's materials)
Determine the size of the future brooches. Draw a drawing on the fetter, cut down too much.
Start embroidery from large beads, place them so that they cover the necessary distance.
The remaining area fill in the embroidery beads, as on your sketch.
In order for the embroidery to be smooth and neat, take the quality Czech beads (or Japanese, if you allow finance), lift the auxiliary lines, embroider exactly along the lines, sew the beads on one and stretch the thread through the whole range. Practice, the first time is rarely perfect.
When you get started to get smooth rows, take the Chinese beads, and try repeating a flat line. Be angry, swear, keep your legs, indulge. Throw a stupid needlework for a wardrobe, and solemnly swear never to take Chinese beads in the hands!
From the bottom of the brooches, make the suspension (baccoma from beads).
Cut the string, but do not throw it away. It will come in handy if the brooch turns out to be too heavy.
Sew the resulting brooches to the swimwear.
After swimming in salted water, the beads can lose the shine, and the Chinese - and absolutely discouraged ...
But there is also good news: who had a swimsuit with beads, they always say that nothing happens to him :)
That's what I got:
Now let's go to the second swimwear.
You will need:
- Beads of different sizes and shapes, in the color of the swimsuit
- fat kapron or wax thread
- Gypsy needle
Lay on a thread of 6 segments of beads (approximate dimensions 2 of the segment of 26cm, 2 to 28 and 2 to 30)
The shortest will be in the center, the longest on the edges.
To accurately determine the length, put a swimsuit on yourself, and ask someone to measure the distance from the tissue to the fastener
Along the edges, leave the segments of the thread, with which it will be possible to sew to the swimwear, the rented beads:
Make 6-8 sections of threads with beads, add suspensions, make decorative "tails":
Measure the length of the strings on the neck, cut off too much, carefully sew the tips together:
Sew the stronger beads to the bra.
