We draw a stencil butterfly or, if you do not know how to draw, any drawing of the butterfly from the book or children's coloring is suitable, sewing pins stick at the main points of the inflection of one of the wings.
Determine the colors for the pattern of the future butterfly. For this work, a special quilling paper of red, purple, black and white colors is used. Paper cut on the ribbons with a width of five millimeters, having previously done on it with a pencil markup. For convenience, the markup can be prepared on a computer using graphic, text or tabular editors, and then print on the paper workpiece. This saves time. We glue the three black ribbons and wind the pins, creating the outline of the wing pattern, the end of the tape is not tightly, so that at the right moment it can be easily disconnected.
The strips of each color glue each other two. Twisting into the spirals and, squeezing them between your fingers, from the spirals we make drops. When filling in the wing with drops and spirals of different colors.
The middle of the drops can be filled with a smaller spiral and a different color. When the wing is fully filled, we spare the end of the black sealing tape and delay it slightly, the sealing wing. Then the inner side of the wing is abundantly lubricating PVA glue and leave to dry. The PVA becomes transparent when drying, so worry about the fact that the traces of glue will remain.
In the same way, we make the rest of the wings. For the highest quality result, it is necessary to achieve the greatest symmetry of the drawing between the two upper and lower wings.
While the wings dry, make a torso. From the paper of the black color, we cut the equilateral triangle, the width of the base of which is the desired body length. And the length of the parties is the width of the base, multiplied by 4.
Twisting the resulting triangle in the tube, starting with a wide part. Butterfly is ready.
Now cut the mustache proportional to the body.
We glue the mustard to the body and tighten the ends.
Next we glue the wings to the bowl of the butterfly. On this work is completed.
Such a butterfly can be put in a flower pot, attach to the curtain or on the edge of the frame hanging on the wall, with a sewing pin.
