Here uses a mirror, LED tape and translucent glass. The example of this process is styled and with photos are presented below.
Materials
To work, you will need:
- old round wall clock;
- Round mirror with a hole of 10 mm in the center;
- round glass with reflective coating applied on one side;
- flexible wooden planks;
- Wire;
- glue;
- LED strip and power supply to it;
- drill and drills;
- band-saw.
Be careful, the glass and mirror in the diameter must match each other and firmly enter the rim of the clock.
Step 1. Disassemble the old hours, leaving only the rim for further work.
Step 2. Drill the hole in the rim to skip the wire from the LED tape through it.
Step 3. Cut the strips based on the length of the internal circumference of the clock. Planks will need 2 pieces. In width, they should be placed in the rim, given the thickness of the mirror and glass.
Step 4. Wipe the glass and place it in the rim from under the watches.
Step 5. Place the bar on the line. Make a hole under the wire from the LEDs.
Step 6. Attach the LED strip to the rim, and print the wires from it through the hole.
Step 7. Connect the wires to the power supply and check the LED operation.
Step 8. Disassemble the clockwork. Take the mirror and from the back of it. Attach the block from the clock with the battery. So that it is securely fixed, use glue for solid materials.
Step 9. From the reverse side, attach on the clock arrow mechanism. The product will look more spectacular if they are made of transparent plastic.
Step 10. Lower the mirror and use the plank to secure it in the rim of the clock.
Ready! Now you can hang the clock with the original effect on the wall.
