Such tape in scrapbooking is used ... and there are many where. But in our stores I did not meet it. Sellers are inappreciating their eyes. And order on the Internet ... Yes, it is not suiced.
I want to tell how I make a volumetric bilateral tape from cardboard. In principle, everything is already clear, there is nothing in difficulty in this and, I think, many do it, but I decided to write this small master class, maybe I haven't guess everything yet.
The factory scotch has a habit very quickly end and it is not always possible to get it, so one day he ended with me, I had to get out.
We will need the following materials:
- Cardboard from any packaging suitable for you in thickness (I have covers from notebooks, I let them in the case);
- Double-sided tape;
- scissors;
- PVA glue.
Everything is very simple, we take the cardboard and we glue the tape from both sides. I stick to the scotch not in the joint in the joint, and to remain a bar of cardboard without a tape, then it will be easier to pick up the protective layer with the nails and tear it down before sticking to the decor.
I cut on such a strip.
And when I need, cut them into squares, triangles, thin strips, depending on the current need. For the word, they cut it much easier than the real tape, you can cut off even very thin stripes.
If the thickness of the cardboard is not enough, then I glue it into two layers and put it between the newspaper under the press (as herbarium) so that the cardboard is drying exactly and did not go wave.
As a press, I use a piece of glass and plastic bottles filled with sand and water. And dumbbells and press - "2 in 1".
These are the thickness of the volumetric scotch.
In this postcard a lot of layers, and it was especially convenient for me to use this tape. We used more thin for the wings, tail and neck to give the volume, but so that the total height is not too big, and the thicker tape, I have already applied to gluing the rooster and numbers to the basis of the postcard.
