I have long inspired the technique of decoupage, so many interesting ideas, I saw the crafts in your publications.
And now it happened, I decided to try and made jars for storing in this technique.
Do not judge strictly - this is my first job and the first publication)
To work, we will need:
- Bank with a lid (I took the jar from under coffee - she has an unusual form)
- PVA glue
- Paints (in the absence of acrylic, I took a simple gouache)
- A set of tassels
- Sponge
- 3x napkins with drawing
- Scissors
- Lac Spray (Matte or Glossy
- Accuracy, patience and fantasy flight =)
My jar, remove the label, wipe your cotton swab, moistened in acetone - it relieves the glue, on which the label is kept and degreases the surface.
Diva in a cup glue PVA and paint. The glue will serve as a soil, and the paint will give the basis the desired color. I picked up a color to the tone of the napkins, so that the edges of the napkins were not strongly contrasted with the background. Cover the jar and cover by this composition.
Then we wait until everything is dry or turning on the hairdryer and reduce the waiting process, so that you would not miss the inspiration you visiting us =)

Cut out or "pull out" from the napkin, without the help of scissors that you like the motifs on the napkin, then remove the 2 lower layers, leaving the top, color
Now we turn on the fantasy and decide - where and what we will glue. Apply a small layer of PVA (without paint) to the surface of the cans, we apply the drawing, then a brush, moistened in the same glue, smoothed the napkin. See that bubbles and folds would not be formed (unfortunately, the folds could not be avoided) and do not overdo it, otherwise the napkin can break.
Because I make a jar for storing cereals, etc., I decided to add a frame and a piece of paper on which it will be written that stored inside. I made the frame from the napkin, and the sticker stuck inside. (cut the desired size in the adhesive part.) The sticker is well glued and easily subject to replacement, because Does not spoil the surface. The top paper painted into the color of the jar.
Toothpicks erase the protrusions on the lid (it is from the green plastic). This will give the type of scuff.
Then take a dry sponge. Take care of a brown gouache, loose on the napkin, to remove excess paint. Then the dotted applying to the protruding corners of the jar is applied to the paint, thereby artificially an aged. (I do not attach a photo - it turned out blurred - left hand not convenient to fota = 0)
We dry everything again with a hairdryer, and cover with a varnish spray, let me dry.
